SAFe vs Certified Scrum Master certification

SAFe agilest certification which is also known as Leading SAFe and the CSM certifications are considered to be amongst the most popular, well-recognized, and acknowledged ones in the industry. Though both the certifications are quite popular among people and yet they consider them to be similar. So to all those people out there who think these certifications to be similar, why not take a good look at this article and then get to know the differences that we have gathered for such people.

Difference between SAFe and CSM certification:

The following table has some major differences between both the certifications and after reading this, you can understand what they are and offer.

Leading SAFe
Certified Scrum Master
The Scaled Agile, Inc is known to be a certifying body of the SAFe. This professional Certification program provides you a valid, reliable and a consistent method of assessing SAFe skills, knowledge, and mindset.
Whereas, CSM is an entry-level credential that is been designed to give professionals a career as Scrum practitioners and an understanding of the project management methodology.

The Scaled Agile Framework aims to resolve all such scaling issues that can occur in an agile environment. These types of issues are the ones that can be a little challenging to be sorted by Scrum or agile frameworks.
As a CSM, you get to lead a team in an agile environment and guide them the ways to complete the project effectively and within the given time and budget. Precisely, you can help your Scrum tem perform at their highest level.
To earn this certification, you need to have a minimum 5 years of experience.
On the other hand, for CSM certification all that is required of you is to have a basic knowledge of software development.
The SAFe exam is very difficult to pass and requires a lot of time and effort.
As compared to SAFe, the CSM exam is a little easy to pass and anyone who has even the slightest understanding of software development can easily prepare for the exam.
The certified SAFe professionals are luckily recognized globally for their ability to support the successful transformation of organizations into lean-agile enterprise.
Similarly, like SAFe, the CSM certification is also recognized globally and no matter where you are or what industry you want to enter, there is always a room for s CSM certified.
To pass the exam, you need to answer at least 34 questions correct out of 40. Which means that the passing percentage here is 76.
Contrary, the passing percentage of the CSM exam is 74. This means that out of 50 questions, you are supposed to answer 37 questions correctly.
The certificate that you gain after clearing the exam will only be valid for one year. After that, you need to extend your validity by paying a $100 fee.
Whereas, the CSM certification is valid for 2 years which is 1 more year than SAFe. To extend your certification, you also need to pay a $100 fee.

Conclusion:

In the end, keep one thing in mind is that whatever the certification you choose will have equal value as both are recognized globally and have great deal of recognition in the Scrum world as well. The only thing that can make you want to earn a CSM certification in our view is that preparing for the CSM exam with the help of CSM Practice test is a little easier as compared to SAFe exam. Other than that, both the certifications are of equal value and demand. So choose to earn one now and don’t forget to stay home, stay safe and never stop learning.

Difference between Project life cycle and Product life cycle

Introduction:
It is highly likely that you may seem to think the project life cycle and the product life cycle are one and the same thing. But if you do think that way then you’re totally mistaken as both these terms are different from one another. And as a project manager, it is mandatory for you to be able to understand the differences between the two.

To help you understand that both the terms are different, we would want you to remember at least this one fact. A project always produces a product and then it ends. Whereas, the product that has been produced stays for a longer time. So this means that the product life cycle is bigger than the project life cycle. Thus this fact will help you remember that both the terms are different.

With that, there are many other differences that we managed to gather round for you and are mentioned below.

Project life cycle
Product life cycle
A project life cycle is known to be the sequence of phases that a project has to go through. These phases are from initiation to closure and are monitored closely till the end.
Whereas, the product life cycle can be described as the stages from which a product passes through. These stages are from conception to retirement.
The project life cycle is known to have many phases. These phases are initiation, planning, executing, monitoring, controlling, and lastly closing.
On the other hand, the stages of the product life cycle are development, introduction, growth, maturity, and then retirement.
All the phases of the project life cycle are generally sequential and can overlap as well.
Contrary, the phases of a product life cycle are sequential but they do not overlap.
It must be kept in mind that the project life cycles are not necessarily a part of the product life cycle.
As the product life cycle continues even after the project has been completed. So you can say that the project life cycle is considered to be a subset of the product life cycle.
The duration of the project life cycle is smaller as compared to the product life cycle. It is because if it is a small scale project, then its duration will be automatically small and vice versa.
But the duration of the product life cycle is comparatively longer. It is because the product stays for a longer time after it has been completed. So normally the product life cycle has a longer duration.
All of the phases that are a part of the project life cycle are tend to repeat if necessary.
Whereas, the phases in the product life cycle generally occur only once.
The roadmap for the project life cycle is always very predictive and well-defined. This is so that the team has a defined goal and can act based on final decisions.
Contrarily, the map for the product life cycle is totally conceptual and is depending on the market condition. Whatever the instructions delivered are based on the market conditions for that particular product.
Conclusion:
Thus, these were some of the very obvious differences that we tried to explain to you. After reading these differences, you can easily understand what these two cycles depict and their purpose. Follow here for PMP Certification Dumps and Other resources like  quizzes , reference books and PMP Prep courses for preparation. So read these differences now and never stop learning.

Qualities required for scrum master

Introduction:

There is no exaggeration over the fact that the job of a Scrum master is quite tough. Everyone knows how hard a Scrum master has to work to make sure his team is working properly. And that is the only reason projects are not only completed on time but also done efficiently. This is all thanks to the hard work that a Scrum master puts to his work. But hey not everyone can do this job right all the time though. This means that there has to have a set of qualities that a Scrum master must possess so as to become an amazing one. So today, we are going to mention some of the very mandatory qualities that a Scrum Master has to have in him.

Top 5 qualities a Scrum master must have:

If you are a Scrum master and looking for tips to become better then we suggest you read these 5 mandatory qualities that you need to have in you. If you manage to have these qualities in you, then there’s no stopping you from being an excellent Scrum master.

You need to have the ability to manage smaller stories:
Software development is a very risky business. Anything can happen anytime and your sprint can fail in seconds. So to avoid such situations, you need to work with smaller stories. This is because working in smaller sprints improve the flow in a sprint. This allows for a smoother burn-down and reduced the risk of failure of a sprint. So it is best that you should be able to break down the user stories into manageable chunks and then lead from there.

Being smart enough to create an environment of learning:
As a leader, it is your responsibility to take care of your team and never ignore or let them down. Once the Agile team is set, you need to pay attention to everyone and provide them with equal learning and growing opportunities. You can do that by arranging training sessions, workshops, and certifications. Having this quality of taking care of your team is not only beneficial for them but it will also increase their morale and will produce better results.

You must be able to build multi-functional teams:
It is quite common that any of the team members can face unavoidable circumstances and might have to leave in the middle of the development. So what should be done in such a case is something that you as a Scrum master must know. This can be done by building cross-functional teams with a blend of expertise in it. In other words, you need to build such a team that can work even when short staffed or under other difficult conditions.

Having knowledge regarding every aspect is great for you and your team:
Being a Scrum Master, you have knowledge regarding technical aspects or different market trends. But as a team leader, thus might not be enough sometime. It is because your whole team is relying on you for guidance. It is you who has to equip your team with knowledge and tips to achieve goals. You have to update them regarding different market trends and fluctuations and other technical aspects. And you can only do that if you have enough knowledge right? So you need to constantly update your knowledge regarding all these aspects so that you can further guide your team accordingly.

You need to have some influence on your team:
Though having a good relationship with your team members is very important, yet your team must know how to respect you. In other words, you need to handle your team in a way that there is a friendly relation between you and your team. But at the same time, they should consider you as their boss. And as for you, you need to be smart enough to become a reason for encouragement for them.

Conclusion:
Thus if you have these qualities in you then it is highly likely that you are and your team can thrust into the limelight by performing well. Product manager VS product owner

When you’re working in an Agile environment, there are a lot of roles and responsibilities that individuals are assigned. There are a lot of job titles given to individuals. From Scrum master to stakeholder, product owner to product manager, team member to team leaders and many more job titles are a part of an agile environment. So whatever the job title you’re given has a different set of instructions, tasks, responsibilities, and more.
And that is why today, we are going to make a comparison between a product owner and a product manager. It is true that both have to work together under the same roof but have their own unique tasks.
Product owner
Product manager
The product owner has the responsibility of maximizing the value of a product. And for this purpose, he has to take action to create and manage the product backlog effectively.

Whereas, the job of a product manager is to discover what a user is in need of. With that, he also has to prioritize what to build next and how to wrap the team’s mind around a product roadmap.
The relation of the product owner with a specific product is to translate the customer’s need into the product vision. Precisely, you can say that product owners are customer-centric.

On the other hand, a product owner has to make sure that the product development process is going smoothly from its conception to release. These managers have a thorough expertise about a product. With that, they are trained to work closely with engineering and designing teams to bring the product to its ending point.
Similarly, the product owners have this task to manage all the user stories. With that, they are also required to organize customer feedback.
Whereas, a product manager has to make sure that the whole team has all the resources they need to complete the product owner’s vision.
It is the job of a product owner to identify common roadblocks. They do it by responding to criticism by acting as a customer support representative.
Contrary, the product manager has to make the business value clear to the engineering and design team by defining the nitty-gritty of the project.
Product owner is the visionary which means that a product owner is the one to use first party data. Then he has to compile the list of all the potential features for the product manager.
Whereas product manager is the executor that is, he has to oversee the whole development process leading up to the release date.
The product owner then has to prioritize all the useful features for the target audience. And then he has to narrow this list down for the product manager.
Then it becomes the product manager’s job to prioritize what features should be included to fulfill the project’s intent. He has to make sure that whatever the features he choose has to be perfect enough to avoid any roadblocks.
Remember, the starting and ending of the whole development process done with the product owner’s approval.
Whereas, the product manager is responsible for handling all the logistical end of the product strategy. In other words, he has to facilitate the steps in the development process.
On one hand, the product owner provides the blueprint for the product to the product manager. And he also makes sure that the process is in accordance with the original script.
On the other hand, the product manager delegates which teams are responsible for building new features. Precisely, product manager has to define all the actions that are needed to bring the product to the market.

Conclusion:
Thus you can now understand that both product owner and product manager has to deal with the same product but have totally different tasks. Though the tasks are different, yet they rely on each other’s work. So by hiring both a product owner and product manager, any organization would tend to produce a new product at a much faster rate. Not only that, the product delivered will be effective, flaw-free, and reliable. Hence it is best that you should know what a product owner and product manager does in an organization and how both can help to give better output. PSM certification dumps are very helpful to persons to pass their PSM real exam in first try and become product manager

Overview of Skills for Scrum Development Team

What is a Scrum team?
To be able to deliver a project within the given time, a scrum team is developed which is a collection of individuals who are given specific tasks. These individuals are highly skilled ones and work together to deliver the requested and committed product increments. The Scrum team has cross-functional members in it who are trained enough to achieve the sprint goals. These could be software engineers, programmers, architects, system admins, analysts, testers, and many more.

What are the most effective scrum teams?
Though every Scrum team is at its best and try to perform well, yet there are most effective Scrum teams in many organizations as well. These types of teams are tight-knit, co-located, and are not more than 7 and less than 5 in number. Many qualities make up an effective Scrum team. So why not take a look at the qualities that make up for an effective Scrum team?

Top 5 qualities that make up for an effective Scrum team:
Quality# 1:
The programmers in the Scrum team tend to work as a pair:
The first quality that you can find in an effective Scrum team is that their programmers work in pairs. While one programmer is writing the code, the other one has to observe it. He has to be alert enough to overview each line of code as the first one types it. In this way, the chances of making an error are minimized to a great extent.

Quality# 2:
The team members must be comfortable enough to cross-train each other:
To avoid one person becoming a bottleneck in the delivery of work, the team must be able to cross-train each other. Let us explain this with the help of an example. If person A is good at one skill and the rest of the team is not. Then to avoid overburdening person A with all the related work, he should teach that skill to other members as well. This practice has two advantages, one, the work will be done in less time as everyone on the team is now working on it. Second, the whole team just learned a new skill that they can apply in the future as well. All the effective Scrum teams possess this quality.

Quality# 3:
Effective Scrum team approaches their project as “we” and not “me”:
When you work in an environment where you feel comfortable, no one can stop you from becoming a perfect team. In an effective team, there is no “me” but “we”. Everything that is done is done through mutual consent. All the team members are there for one another and by joining forces, they ensure a successful sprint completion.

Quality# 4:
Effective Scrum team must understand what refactoring and integration are:
Code refactoring is a process in which you have to clarify and simplify the design of the existing code. But the trick here is that you can’t change the behavior of the code while doing so. An effective Scrum team has to be able to maintain and extend their code regularly without messing things up. Similarly, continuous integration includes producing a clean build of the system several times per day. The Scrum team must also be able to do that daily. From configuring CI to include automated compilation, unit test execution, and source control integration, a Scrum team should know to do all.

Quality# 5:
Effective Scrum teams are self-motivated, team player, and organized:
These are some of the relevant qualities that each member of the Scrum team has. The members are self-organized and self-motivated and support each other in every step. Similarly, they believe in teamwork. They are accountable for everything they do and not just put it on one person. In other words, an effective scrum team works as a single cohesive unit and achieve their goals by working together.

Conclusion:
Thus if you want to become an effective Scrum team then make sure that you have these above mentioned 5 qualities. Only then you will be able to become an effective and efficient team who does their job well. You also learn skills how to make good team while you preparing for CSM practice test.So take a good look at these qualities and try to adapt them to become an effective Scrum team and never stop learning.

What are the essential pillars of Scrum?

Introduction:
Scrum is known to be working on three important and major pillars. These pillars are the ones to uphold every implementation and empirical process. Without these three pillars, no Scrum master, or stakeholder or even the team members can work properly. So let us take a look at what these three pillars are. How they do what they do and other things related to it.
The three pillars of Scrum:
Scrum has three pillars which are as follows.
  • Transparency.
  • Inspection.
  • Adaptation.

What does each pillar do?

Transparency:
Transparency as the name depicts is clarity. It is known to be the first significant aspect of the Scrum process. Transparency here means that every team member, the scrum master, and other people involved in a project have a clear understanding of what they’re dealing with. It requires those aspects that have to be defined by in its day-to-day activities and artifacts. This is so that the team can share a common understanding of what is being seen. With that, transparency also refers to have a clear understanding of the individual roles and responsibilities.

Inspection:
Inspection in Scrum is not defined as an inspection done by a real inspector or an auditor. Instead, inspection in Scrum means an inspection done by everyone on the team. When every member of the team and not just the Scrum master or stakeholders are doing inspection daily, then it is highly likely that the project completes without any disruptions. That is why it is called the critical aspect of the empirical process as it enables the Scrum framework adaptive to complex problems.

Adaptation:
While working in an agile environment, there is always a possibility that whatever is decided at the start will be changed as you go further. This means that you need to embrace any kind of change and be open to adaptiveness. So this is the part where the sprint review meeting comes very handy. In the Scrum meeting, you discuss every single step in detail so as to avoid delays or flaws. With that, you also assess your whole process against the sprint goal. What happens here is that the whole team and stakeholders come together to collaborate about what was done during the sprint? What can be done differently to make things go even more smoothly? And an improved strategy is formed by keeping in view the things done in the previous sprint. This adaptation process leads the whole team to optimize the product value to its full.

An example that shows how all three pillars work:
Now with this example, we are going to explain to you how these three work together and without any one of them, the other one can’t happen.

Pillars are something that supports each other and so are the scrum pillars. These three pillars work together and get things done successfully. Suppose you skip the first pillar that is transparency. Now without transparency, you and your team won’t have a clear understanding of what has to be done. This problem will then lead to no inspection. In other words, you won’t be able to inspect anything unusual in your work. When you are not able to find any flaw, then you won’t as well be able to adapt to any change. And without adapting to change, you will certainly fail.

Thus this whole circle comes right back to you in the form of failure. This means that the essence here is the interaction of these pieces that work together and produce more than just the sum of the parts. So you can’t skip any of the pillars in this process. You can learn allot about these pillars  when you taking CSM practice test for the preparation of CSM exam.

Tableau and Data Science

Introduction:
There are many data visualization tools that you can use to deal with data and make the most out of it. Among these tools, the tableau is also one of the best data visualization tools that are used by data science. Business professionals and data science of today use tableau to visualize data, create attractive dashboards, charts, and deduce results out of huge data and whatnot in an effective manner.
The use of tableau is not just limited to creating charts and traditional graphs. Instead with the help of tableau data scientists and business analysts are doing miracles that are contributing towards the development of our economy. So today, we are going to understand properly how tableau is used in data science.

How tableau is used in data science?
Tableau became popular when data scientists realized the wonders it can do with tons of data in lesser time. It stepped in to build a tool that non-programmers can use easily to pull out data from diverse sources. The tool was designed in a way to pinpoint data from not just diverse but the largest resources which were otherwise impossible before. Tableau has this ability to work out of the box dealing with more than fifty data sources.Tableau desktop specialist can easily use this software. Now imagine the amount of data you can gather from let’s say 5 to 10 sources. It would be big enough for you to take days to deal with it. But with tableau, you can deal with more than 50 sources effectively. Some of the names of these resources are as follows.
  • Excel.
  • Raw text files.
  • Access.
  • Hadoop.
  • Any ODBC-compliant database.
  • Amazon.
  • Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Salesforce.
And many more.
How does it work?
Now that you know tableau can deal with more than 50 data sources. So, let us understand how it works.
Whatever the resource you need to extract data from, tableau can do that for you. After that, you can create interactive visualizations using this data through simple tools. Whatever the numbers, figures, values, or what so ever-present in the data can come out in the form of representations. Now, this form is something that can be understood by even an average person. That is the reason why you need tableau. With tableau, you don’t have to put up a show and reveal your whole data in front of people to make them understand your point. Instead, tableau makes this data into a representable form that you can show others. You can make interactive dashboards, pie charts, bar charts, visualizations, and many more things using tableau just to make your data look more presentable and useful. Then you can easily deduce results out of it.
Conclusion:
Thus with tableau, you can extract data from almost any resource or platform and do your thing in less time and more efficiently. So we would suggest if you are interested in becoming a data scientist or a business professional where you have to deal with data all the time . Then learning to use tableau can make things quite easy for you and become a good tableau desktop specialist. So learn to use tableau now and never stop learning.

What is the real biggest problem for CSM certified person

Introduction:
If you have a software/computer science background then you must have clear know-how of who a Certified Scrum Master is and what it takes to become one. So you and many other people try as hard as possible to become a CSM certified only because it has a great scope and demand. Not only that, but it also gives you a bright future as CSM certified makes a lot of money. So overall, becoming a CSM certified is kind of a dream which everyone related to this field likes to chase.  CSM practice test will helps you alot to pass the CSM real exam and become CSM certified person.

Though becoming a CSM is a victory on its own but have you ever thought what happens next? Do you think your struggle and hard work comes to ease after becoming a CSM certified? If you think this way then you’re totally wrong. It is because the moment you become a CSM certified, your role, responsibilities, tasks, and everything else changes. Not just that, as soon as you become a scrum master, your role becomes blatantly defined. On one side, the dev team deems you to be an outsider or an eavesdropper. Whereas, on the other side, your responsibility toward making your team do their jobs well is increased more than ever now. So what is the biggest problem for CSM certified person?

What exactly is the biggest problem for a CSM certified person?
Well, that is, to not focus on making the management happy instead focus on two things. First, how to make your development team happy so that they can work effectively. Second, making your customers happy is very important. It is because these customers are the ones who can increase your sales and make huge profits. So you need to make these two happy. And this is the biggest problem for CSM certified people to do. Now you must be probably thinking how this can be the biggest problem right? Let us tell you how.

How is this the biggest problem?
You are a scrum master which means that you are technically an extension of management. You feel like your obligation is towards the management. You think your job is to make them happy and work as per their rules. But this isn’t how it actually works. The development team and the customers are to be the ones to stay happy because both generate substantial value. And in doing so, if the management starts to interfere and imposing their will then there is a systematic problem in that particular organization. You don’t want to mess with the management because you work for them. But you can’t either mess things up with your dev team and the customers because both are the reason for your organization to earn profits. So what should you do here?

What should be done in this type of situation?
The best way to avoid this problem is to talk your management out of it and try to bring them, the customer, and the dev team on the same page. Even after that the problem still exists then its best to stop wasting your time in an organization that doesn’t think about its customers. To be able to make a goodwill for your organization, the management has to make a sacrifice by agreeing to the terms of the customer and the dev team. And it is your job as a scrum master to bring them all on the same page if they happen to be not.

Other small problems for a CSM certified person?
Like we said earlier, becoming a CSM certified is not that easy as you have to deal with many problems. But don’t worry as there isn’t any problem that can’t be overcome. All you need to do is put in your best to overcome these problems and everything will be okay for you.

  • While working with distributed teams, it gets very difficult to manage them.
  • Handling urgent on-demand tasks that can’t be refused. These tasks can delay the completion of the project.
  • Similarly, while working on the project if a bug appears and is taking a lot of time to fix it.
  • Moreover, handling daily stand-ups meetings can be quite exhausting.
  • Making your team trust you.

And many other small problems are always on the shoulder of a scrum master. But the thing is, you wouldn’t have passed the test and become a CSM certified if you weren’t capable of it. So you need to trust yourself completely and just keep going with full devotion.
